Theatre People, also known as The Angel Next Door, by Paul Slade Smith, is a witty farce set in a 1948 Newport, RI mansion where young author Oliver Adams' debut novel faces publication, complicated by Broadway stars, an ingenue's dalliance with a vacuous lead, and a nosy maid, all leading to hilarious chaos as thin walls reveal secrets and characters navigate industry pressures and personal desires for love and success.
